2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: “To Space and Back”, a 30 minute film specially made for showing in 3D in the Planetarium’s dome.

The film is American, the language Chinese – but it is the images that will tell the story!

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: “Connecting Man and the Heavens”, a discussion between Sun Xiaochun, Professor of the History of Chinese Astronomy at the Institute for the History of the Natural Sciences, and Richard de Grijs, Professor of Astrophysics at the Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Peking University, about when, where, how and why astronomy between China and the West interact, differ, and overlap.
