MORE ABOUT THE EVENT: Michael Humphries will examine key learnings from previous epidemics in China and elsewhere and review how effectively they have translated into modern public health practice. The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a tragic toll in human life and has tested health systems and governments to the limit. How might this pandemic end?
MORE ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Dr. Michael Humphries, educated at Cambridge and London, is a respiratory physician who has lived and worked in Hong Kong/China for 35 years. He was formerly Consultant Physician at the Ruttonjee Sanatorium Hong Kong and has held honorary faculty positions at Hong Kong University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong in medicine, community medicine and microbiology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London and Edinburgh) and Fellow of the Academy of Chest Physicians (USA).
