Leonardo da Vinci is recognized worldwide as one of the most talented artists and inventors in history. His most ambitious dream was human flight. He drew gliders, a parachute, a helicopter prototype, machines imitating the flight of birds, and other exotica.  Modern reconstructions have shown that most of his models could fly.  In this presentation co-sponsored by RASBJ, “Understanding Science” and the Bookworm, Prof. Plinio Innocenzi evokes Leonardo’s visionary dream of flight.
