MORE ABOUT THE HOTEL: No other hotel in the Chinese capital is as iconic as the Beijing Hotel, located next to the Forbidden City on Chang An Avenue. Our AGM will be in the historic block – Block B – since 2016 known as Beijing Hotel Nuo. Once called the Grand Hotel de Pekin, and built in 1917, this elegant building has witnessed the city’s history unfold around, and within, it. From Sun Yatsen to Japanese troops, from Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai to Richard Nixon and Nikita Krushchev, legendary personalities have walked its fabled corridors. Once upon a time, guests used to gather on its balconies and rooftop to witness warlords fighting for power, and various military processions over the years. IF YOU SPENT TIME IN THE HOTEL IN THE GOOD OLD DAYS, PLEASE SHARE YOUR ANECDOTES OR PHOTOS OF THIS HISTORIC HOTEL!
The RASBJ thanks Beijing Postcards and Beijing Hotel Nuo for their support.
